About The Venue
Owned by the City of Kingston, and managed by ASM Global, Slush Puppie Place opened in February of 2008, with a seating capacity of 6,700 for hockey/ on-ice events while playing host to thousands of concerts, family shows, and other events over the past 15 years. As Greater Kingston’s premier Sports and Entertainment Facility, Slush Puppie Place provides a first-class home to the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League and the Kingston Sports Hall of Fame.
Whether it’s a single comedian on stage such as Jim Jefferies or a massive production such as Cirque du Soleil, the Slush Puppie Place provides world-class entertainment of all types to the Greater Kingston Community. The variety of major concerts have included Elton John, Bryan Adams, The Tragically Hip, Luke Combs, Offspring, The Glorious Sons and many more. Children have been able to enjoy some of their favourites including The Wiggles, Paw Patrol, Blippi, and the Harlem Globetrotters.
The venue not only strives to meet the needs of the community through diverse programming, it also stands as a landmark of city civic pride and community accessibility, promoting a sense of vibrancy and culture while also providing a wide range of public sports and entertainment. With a reputation and standard of excellence in the industry, Slush Puppie Place is a top stop for fans and performers alike.

Awards
The Arena captured the attention and recognition of the media and entertainment industries right from the start. Since its opening on February 22, 2008, the Arena has received some of the highest honours in the entertainment industry. The entertainment businesses promoters, managers and artists are not the only ones to notice the venues hard work. In 2011 Venues Today recognized the Arena as being the top grossing venue in its category in Canada. Along with Venues Today, in 2012 Pollstar Magazine named the Arena the number one Canadian venue under 10,000 and in 2013 number 19 for highest grossing sales worldwide. Our facility staff pride themselves on providing the industry and the public with the best service possible and appreciate the recognition of our efforts.
