The Kingston Frontenacs 2024 first-round playoff schedule and opponent are officially set. The Kingston Frontenacs (#7) will be facing off against the North Bay Battalion (#2) with the best-of-seven series getting underway at the North Bay Memorial Gardens on Thursday, March 28th at 7:00 pm.
The Frontenacs will play the first two games of the series on the road before returning home for games 3 and 4, which will be played at Slush Puppie Place on Monday, April 1st and Wednesday, April 3 with both games starting at 7:00 pm.

The Kingston Frontenacs (33-31-4-0) and North Bay Battalion (39-20-7-2) clashed four times during the 2023-24 season, with the Frontenacs securing victories both on home ice and at the North Bay Memorial Gardens, resulting in a 2-2-0-0 record against the Battalion.
These two teams share a playoff history dating back to 2010 when the Battalion still played in Brampton. In the 2010 series, they engaged in a fierce battle, culminating in a game 7 showdown where the Battalion emerged victorious with a 5-2 win, clinching the round 1 series.
They met again in the first round of the 2015 playoffs, where the third-seeded Battalion swept the Frontenacs (#6) to advance to the second round. In 2018, however, the tables turned as the Kingston Frontenacs, seeded third, triumphed over the sixth-seeded Battalion in 5 games.
Their most recent playoff encounter was in the second round of 2022, where the Battalion emerged victorious with a 4-1 series win. As the Frontenacs head into the 2024 playoffs, they seek revenge and aim to secure a trip to the second round. If the 2023-24 regular season taught us anything, it’s that this series will be a hard-fought battle.
