MORE INFORMATION
Tri-Colour Classic, a dynamic student-led initiative, stands at the forefront of the fight against childhood cancer, operating in close collaboration with the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS). This partnership is pivotal, as the CCS plays a crucial role in matching donors, effectively doubling the contributions we gather and, by extension, magnifying our impact. Hunter MacKinnon, drawing inspiration from the Cure Cancer Classic, founded this visionary enterprise in 2021, establishing an annual tradition that pits Commerce against Engineering in a spirited basketball showdown at Kingston’s Slush Puppie Place.
Now in our third year, the Tri-Colour Classic has evolved into a formidable team of 31 dedicated students spanning three faculties, all united in their commitment to this cause. Our ambition is not only to escalate our fundraising efforts but also to enhance the event’s vibrancy, fostering an unforgettable experience for the entire student body.
In just the initial two years, our collective efforts, bolstered by the generosity of our supporters, have culminated in a remarkable contribution of over $235,000 to Dr. Donald Mabbott’s esteemed research lab at Sick Kids Hospital. Learn more here.
