POSITION: Concession Cook
Position Summary:
Legends Global and SAVOR, the leaders in privately managed public assembly facilities, are currently recruiting for Short Order and Line Cooks in our Concession Stands, Club Lounge, and Restaurant for the current hockey season and upcoming events.
This role is responsible for producing and preparing menu items for the Concessions, Club Lounge, and Restaurant — maximizing efficiency and service while ensuring SAVOR’s high standards for food quality and presentation are met.
Main Responsibilities:
Preparation, cleaning, stocking and managing food production of all Food Services throughout the venue to company standard.
Receives verbal orders from front counter staff for food orders.
Production of all menu items as per customer request.
Responsible for maintaining quality control and production standards of all food served in the concession stands, club lounge and restaurant.
Minimize wastage.
Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment always following sanitation and health and safety standards in work areas.
Standard closing duties including ensuring all work areas are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift.
Consistently providing superior customer service during demanding and fast-paced events from hockey to concerts to entertainment and family events.
Successful candidates will need to work flexible hours for all shifts. This includes evenings, weekends and holidays as event business demands.
Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic.
Other duties as assigned moving between service areas and reporting to managers to achieve effective execution of the varied events at Slush Puppie Place.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have reached their 16th birthday for consideration.
Ability to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast paced, event-driven environment.
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
Ability to work efficiently within a team and as an individual.
Ability to communicate with teammates, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional and respectful manner with a focus on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
Valid Safe Food Handler Certificate or equivalent recommended.
WHMIS Certificate recommended.
Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic.
Related experience in quick service, concessions or restaurant services an asset.
Varying hours Part Time Seasonal Contract.
Physical Effort
This position requires stooping and lifting, substantial standing; walking and manual dexterity to operate food production equipment.
Working Conditions
Works mainly in Concession outlets, Club Lounge or Kitchen.
